Toledo Firefighters Charities

Since the formation of Toledo Firefighters Local 92 Charities over l5 years ago, Local 92 Charities has given over $375,000.00 back to the community.  The money collected is used to help support local charitable no-profit organizations with in the Northwest Ohio area.

In 1999 alone, Local 92 Charities has supported Aluminum Cans for Burned Children of Northwest Ohio, YMCA, Parents Helping Parents, NO Hemophilia Foundation, MDA, Arthritis Foundation, the Toledo Repertoire Theater, Toledo-Lucas County Police Athletic League, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mom's House, Special Olympics and the United Way.

Some of the highlights include our Easter Basket Program where we were able to donate food and Easter Dinner to 250 needy families.  This fall, during the start of school, Local 92 Charities in conjunction with the Toledo Police Patrolman's Association, came out with a Public Service program informing young teens on school safety.  Our final big project was adopting 100 children from Lucas County Children Services for Christmas.

In the past we have supported the following organizations:

It should be pointed out that since volunteers do all fundraising, there is no expense taken out of monies raised for a "professional fund-raiser" or administration fees.  The majority of donations received are from Brother and Sister Firefighters.  We depend on your support.   Please open your hearts and consider a donation to the worthy efforts of Local 92 Toledo Firefighters Charities.
